I think currently you have two states of mind ongoing.

The first is anger. Outrage at what they did to you. Demands justice, SCREAMS it. Name-calling them, it says, is fair and just, because they wronged you, you get to wrong them back.

The second is logic. It says the evidence proves that you're right, that the position is unassailable, therefore you don't need to justify your approaches because they work. Could they work better? Perhaps, but 'they work', so no need to change.

I'm going to share something with you Lee, as a seasoned debater for nearly a decade and a half. I've dealt with, refuted, people of all sorts of different capacities and walks of life; University accredited lawyers, researchers, doctors, consultants, government talking heads; I've been banned, blocked, muted, censored by more than quite a few, and influenced others.

I have a saying, and it still holds true to this day: half of an argument is PR.

Imagine if you will, two men.

One is dressed as a hobo, he screams and shouts his theories and ideas at people as they pass by on the street.

The other is a finely dressed, well kempt man, he speaks politely, acts warmly to people, and points to evidence and reason to make his case.

Both of these men can advocate the exact same theories and ideas. Both could be entirely, 100% correct.

The public, however, will *always* resonate with the finely dressed, well kempt man, because to them, his appearance is pleasing. The man who shouts at them scares and worries them.

I received so much abuse, because giving a clean PR appearance offers no vector for an attack, so the opponent can *only* engage with the evidence presented, or otherwise they simply invent slanderous lies out of desperate, discrediting themselves in the process.

Your goal, is to out-PR the enemy.

You can choose whatever form of PR you wish to use, but remember, 50% of the argument's success relies on the PR. The appearance. I bet when you convince folks in person, you're professionally dressed, and keep your fine appearance of credentials about you.

There's more to the Milgram experiment than meets the eye. The door swings both ways.
