My kids always tell me to try to be more humble. This IS me being humble. But, physicists are completely WRONG when they talk about “waves.”
They talk about photons having a “dual nature,” both particle and “wave” and they explain it by using the example of water waves. Well, guess what. Water waves are real and everyone has seen it and yet the water molecule (or particle) that comprises water waves DOES NOT have a dual nature. Water molecules are simply a particle. JUST because many water molecules can give the macroscopic appearance of a wave does NOT mean we imbue water with a “dual nature.” Physicists are just average animals.
The middle ear has an air pocket. Say the pressure outside the body is lower than the pressure inside the middle ear (higher altitude). if the eustachian tube can't equalize the pressure in time, there is a tiny bit of expansive pressure in the middle ear which causes pain. That's why moving your jaw helps "pop" the higher pressure difference by opening the eustachian tube, which connects the middle ear air cavity to the nasopharynx (outside air pressure).
but high up on a mountain, the air pressure can be significantly less than at sea level, yet we hear just as clearly, even though there are dramatically LESS air molecules. That's because this mystery substance between air molecules DOES exist up there also and is packed up there.
The eardrum, also known as the tympanic membrane, is a thin flap of skin that vibrates when sound waves hit it.
This vibration then causes the ossicles, a chain of three tiny bones in the middle ear, to move back and forth.
The movement of these bones transmits the sound waves from the eardrum to the inner ear, where the cochlea converts the vibrations into electrical impulses that are sent to the brain.
The eardrum is an essential part of the ear as it helps to amplify and carry sound waves to the inner ear.
It is located in the middle ear, which is an air-filled space behind the eardrum.
thank you dor your work look forward to the answer
The "lift" that they think allows flight? lol. No, it's just like when you move your hand through water and angle it up, your hand is PUSHED up by the water molecules BENEATH your hand. Same for the wings of planes. But they could never understand how that little bit of air would be able to push the wings up enough for flight, so they invoked "LIFT."
No, there is a ton of stuff BETWEEN the air molecules that allows sound and flight.
I’m fascinated with Frequency….. 🤔
Is frequency a form of molecule or does it just vibrate the air molecules? 🤷♀️

Dr. Lee can you check your DMs? It’s really urgent
DM’s? On X? I’ve been cancelled.
I sent you a DM here on substack
Why do our ears pop in a plane or going up a mountain, how does the theory fit in here? Genuine curiosity???

great thinking

So like with “gravity” its ether thats missing.
How?
Well, why cant the air particles be compressed too much?? And what is a particle after all?
